While Ben is new to the real estate business, we were just so impressed with his work ethic, and enthusiasm that we had to choose him as our agent. We have bought and sold 12 houses over the last 25 years, and have learned that years of experience doesn't trump, young drive, and enthusiasm! In addition he is so tech savy( as that generation is!) and has come up with great online tools for both our search and for marketing our home for sale. We are honored to be one of Ben's first clients at the beginning of what we KNOW will be a long and prosperous career!
Ben was referred to us by a friend who resides in Charleston. The minute we met Ben he was nothing short of professional, courteous and very well prepared for our scheduled tours . I would refer Ben to anyone who is looking for a property in the Charleston area. Ben is a true "A" player!
He is attentive, hard working, and easily accessible. He has a reputation of servitude and putting the client first and shows this in every aspect of his business.
We had no knowledge of the short sale process and were second time home buyers. He was able to walk us through the current real estate market as well as the short sale process. He is very knowledgeable about the area and helped us find reputable companies for inspection, insurance and other services needed for buying a new home. I would highly recommended him for any real estate needs in the Charleston area.
He was helpful post closing finding cleaning, repair and other services.
My family and I were looking for a "forever" home and Hunter helped us find it; although it took us forever. Hunter is very knowledgeable about Charleston, knows quite a few contacts, and is very helpful in processing and sharing information concerning schools, re-sale, and the general "vibe" on an area.
He goes above and beyond "the call of duty" for his clients. He is very punctual with paperwork, information, and at showings. His knowledge of real estate is profound and very helpful. He helped us find the house we are in now, which we love. I remember calling him at any hour of the day and his response was always quick. If there were any information that he needed to collect, he would, and get right back to us with the answers. I put full trust in him and would never hesitate to call him with any real estate need.
He is extremely professional, knowledgeable, patient, and also caring. He first helped us find a large enough home to accommodate my mother who needed special medical care. He found it, but of course she changed her mind and wouldn't budge from her old home. After her passing, he helped us list and sell her home within a matter of weeks. Since then he's been helping us search for our own new home - we've dragged him all over the Lowcountry and back, and he continues to stick with us. We truly wouldn't want to work with anyone else - he receives our highest recommendation.
His marketing and networking skills really impressed me. He knows how to use media to get the word out and attract attention. I would work with him again in the future and always tell people looking to buy or sale to call him. Thanks Hunter!!!
When our buyers wanted to close quickly, Hunter rose to the challenge to help us find a neighborhood and home that met the criteria for our large family. When I called, he answered. When we needed to see 10 houses on a Saturday, he made it happen. When we needed to have last minute closing details taken care of, he took care of them. Hunter went above and beyond and I would highly recommend him to any of my friends or family.
He worked with us for over a year to find the perfect house we were looking for. He would meet us within an hour of asking to look at a property, and if he couldn't be with us, he would send another realtor of his. He got us in to every single property we wanted to see with incredibly short notice and had no problem spending the time showing multiple properties. He even wrote a contract for us on a house moments before he was supposed to leave for his family vacation. He always went above and beyond and referred us to builders, lenders, insurance agents, etc. I refer him to anyone that asks for a lender, and I would absolutely use him again to sell our house or buy another one.
We were out of town and had to make multiple trips to Charleston and with each trip he had homes for us to view. He did every bit of homework and research on short sales and foreclosures. My husband had specific wants in a house and before long Hunter knew whether he would like the house before I did. He is now a good friend of ours. We would highly recommend him to any one. We have never worked with anyone better.
His digital advertising process goes far beyond traditional listings to make sure buyers see the house and his telephone team follows up on every prospect. We were listed for several months with another agent and had no contracts. Hunter listed the house at the same price and we had competing offers in just a few weeks. He was always available and handled all aspects of the transaction very professionally. I will use him again for our next real estate deal.
We got a great house at a great price. Without Hunter's expert help, I honestly believe my family would not have been able to obtain our wonderful home. Hunter Reynolds is the ONLY real estate agent I will ever use in charleston ever again!
He has been doing it a long time and knows the Charleston area very well. Wholeheartedly recommend to anyone in need of a real estate agent.
We are so glad we did! Not only did he direct us to a perfect house, he made sure that the process was seamless and worry free. He communicated to me everyday with any new options and his knowledge of the market is second to none. Since our purchase, I have worked with Hunter and his team on two other transactions. Both of these transactions were handled efficiently, professionally and with expertise guidance. You do not need to look any further for a real estate team that will bring the results you are looking for. Call Hunter. You will not be disappointed!
Having 2 young boys, we knew we wouldn't have the time or energy to do it ourselves. We trusted Hunter to help us through the process with as little inconvenience on our end as possible. He not only got our house sold in less than ONE WEEK, but we also were able to avoid almost all of our current tenant issues, busy paperwork and negotiating and inspection issues. He was beyond professional, and completely knowledgable in any and all aspects. He made it so easy and uncomplicated! We will always and ONLY use Hunter and his team in any future real estate needs.
I am so glad I went to Charleston for the closing and saw the condo, and experienced the weather. What a contrast between Tuesday's weather and and today's. I just love the sunshine and the beauty of the place today. I am looking forward to when I can move to Charleston. Thank you again for your professionalism and thoroughness in handling my real estate needs, for your sincere effort to make everything move along, despite the SDFCU hiccups!
How did you find us: Website. Your most memorable moment? Very informative and willing to help us! He was always very honest and trustworthy. I am in the military so time was important and we had very little of it, Andrew was very devoted to making sure our first time home buying went smooth and that we were happy! We looked at 20 houses in the course of 3 days (over Memorial Day weekend) and Andrew was always easily reachable and punctual. He greatly exceeded our expectations in a realtor. The moment you'd rather forget? None! Testimonial: If you want someone real to help you with home-buying or selling there are none that compare to Andrew Vanderveen!
After weeks and weeks of texting, emailing, laboring, bemoaning, commiserating, etc., I realized that in a few moments, we had finally completed one of our largest financial investments. And with that thought, it occured to me that the man sitting next to me, who had been a complete stranger 7 weeks earlier, was an integral part of the process. It was at that time when it dawned on me that Andrew had become more than our agent. The moment you'd rather forget? There never was a time when we were sorry that Andrew was our agent. Testimonial: The difference between a successful person and one that continuously experiences failure is the ability to remain humble and realize that no one person can "do it all." Andrew reminded me of that philosphy. If he could not answer one of my questions, he would tell me immediately that he couldn't but that he would find somebody who could. He always, always, always followed up with an answer and in a timely fashion. I very much appreciated that characteristic in Andrew. I never distrusted his judgement or opinion because I knew how honest he was based on the fact that he had no problem telling me that he was going to have to get the opinion of somebody that had more knowledge than he did. Referral: Not at this time but will not hesitate to recommend Andrew when somebody asks.
I have been purchasing properties for close to 20 years and have purchased over 15 properties in 6 states and Gary is arguably one of the finest people I have ever had the pleasure of working with. I say finest people because the experience I had in purchasing property in South Carolina was secondary to meeting and getting to know Gary. I met Gary through a mutual friend who I trust and had stated he had a great experience in purchasing his home. This too was my experience. My situation was unique in that I needed to find a place in South Carolina quickly as I am opening up an office for my company in Charleston and needed to find something for my wife and I in a location which would provide the amenities and surroundings which we desired. From the time I made the decision to purchase a property to when I purchased was less than a month. Gary provided many options through the internet, talking to me over the phone, and by email. I flew down to Charleston to review a few select options and in one morning found the property we believed was right for us. Once we settled on the property we still were unsure if we were going to move down to Charleston as we had several decisions relating to my company which hedged on some timely government contract issues. All of this transpired with Gary doing a tremendous job in negotiating on our behalf and getting us a deal well below market value. Gary was easy to work with, took copious notes on what we were looking for, and then delivered upon everything he said. I know real estate is very unique and challenging profession, but Gary has truly shown himself to be the best at what he does. Deby and I are very appreciative of everything Gary has done for us and please pass on all our best or his outstanding support.
He was helping a client from Ohio find short term accommodations until they found and purchased a home in the Charleston area. We were all having coffee in the guest lounge waiting to tour the apartment complex and we struck up a conversation. I mentioned that I was also moving and looking for transitional housing arrangements while my house was on the market. At that time I hadn't listed it yet. The agent I used to buy my current home back in 2010 is a nice guy. I actually worked with him again not long ago when I started looking for a new house, but I generally felt that I was doing all the work and he would just come along and unlock the doors at showings of houses that I had researched. He wasn't proactively helping me with my search or my financing, which is a little more complicated than usual because I needed a ‘lease to own’ option and or other creative financing that would allow me to move before my current house sold. So things weren't progressing well with my old agent. Also, the house I'm selling is very contemporary and at a higher than average price point, so it needs the right sales approach to attract the right potential buyers. My old agent didn’t offer any encouraging strategies. In talking to Gary that Sunday afternoon and describing both my selling and buying dilemmas he shared some ideas about how he would approach both the sale of my house and finding another that would meet my price, financing and aesthetic criteria. After a few more conversations and having him come out to the house we listed with Keller Williams. Gary has been great to work with. He always returns calls promptly and has been extremely flexible showing me houses weekday evenings and weekends. He did allot of research to find houses that met my needs. He really went beyond what any Realtor I've work with before has done to find me the right house. The house I'm purchasing wasn’t even listed at the time Gary contacted the owner. It's the perfect house for me and I believe that if it wasn’t for Gary I wouldn't have been able to buy it. He also was integral to negotiating a great price below market value, and he convinced the seller to very good terms in my favor. Gary is also doing a very solid job advising and assisting with the marketing of my current home. The on-line listing is fabulous and really highlights the house’s best features. Gary gave us allot of tips to get the house ready and was very patient during the time it took to declutter and touch it up to make sure it looked it’s best. He hired a professional photographer which really made a difference in the quality of the listing pictures and virtual tour. He has also used some creative strategies to increase the awareness of the property among all local real estate agents and brokers. I feel confident that Gary will continue to work hard on our behalf and do all that he can to sell our house in a reasonable timeframe. I think one of the best things about working with Gary is his sincerity and helpful nature. It has been easy to work with him. He is very communicative and keeps me informed, which I really appreciate. And he has a keen sense and is sensitive to how stressful a time it is to sell your house and buy another. I would highly recommend working with Gary to sell or purchase a property. I wouldn't hesitate about working with him again in the future, but I'm hoping to stay put in my new house for a good little while. If you have any questions about what my experience has been working with Gary, feel free to give me a call. Good luck on your real estate adventure. I'm sure Gary will take good care of you and make it as pleasant an experience as it can be.
Gary was recommended to me by a good friend who bought their first place last year, and I will definitely recommend him to anyone thinking about buying or selling a home. Gary has been incredibly professional and proactive throughout the entire process. He was helpful and accessible 24/7, and made me feel very comfortable and confident, especially considering I didn't know the first thing about buying a home. Gary pretty much did all the work for me, while making sure I got exactly what I wanted (and under-budget too!). I could not be happier with the home we found, and I am so grateful to him and all his hard work.
I needed to move fast on a purchase and she did everything she could to make it happen asap.
I can't recommend him highly enough. During my home buying experience, Hunter consistently exceeded my expectations. He researched the properties before the showings and came prepared with great advice. He made excellent recommendations for contractors, insurance, mortgage brokers, etc. He had experience with FHA renovation loans, foreclosures, and pretty much everything that I asked him about. He was responsive throughout the entire process, and he even stayed in touch with me while on vacation with his family (without complaining). Hunter consistently went above and beyond the call of duty. For example, he volunteered to take measurements of the square footage of the entire house and photos of all of the flood vents that were needed for my flood insurance, so that I wouldn't have to pay for another flood certificate (since the one we had didn't have the necessary information). I would recommend Hunter to anyone, including home purchasers and investors.
