Home buyers wanting new construction in the Mt. Pleasant SC area have several options from a variety of regional and national home builders.  Plans vary from townhomes, one story, and two story detached homes close to Downtown Charleston SC and the beaches of Isle of Palms and Sullivan’s Island.

Carolina Park is a large development along Hwy 17 and close to the new Mount Pleasant Hospital.  Carolina Park's master plan calls for approximately 1,500 single family homes and 500 multi-family residences on more than 1,700 acres.  Builders in Carolina Park include Ryland Homes, David Weekley Homes and Saussy Burbank, these homes start in the $300s.  Custom-designed homes are also available in Riverside at Carolina Park.  These homes start in the $500s and the preferred builders include Saussy Burbank, Cline Homes and Sabal Homes.

Further up Highway 17, Ryland Homes is building a new community called Tupelo.  There will be two sections in Tupelo.  Tupelo Church Lane starting at $218,000 and consisting of six floor plans ranging from 1172- 2229 square feet.  Also available, Tupelo Forest which will feature seven floorplans starting at $244,000 and ranging from 1500-3600 square feet.

Ryland Homes is also building new townhomes along the newly redesigned Coleman Boulevard.  Six Fifty Six Coleman Townhomes is in the heart of Mt. Pleasant within walking distance of Shem Creek, restaurants, retail shops, area entertainment and 5 minutes to downtown Charleston.  Prices start at $360,000
Tributary is a new development within the Rivertowne Country Club that is located on the Wando River and Horlbeck Creek.  Single Family Homes start in the $400s.
Beezer Homes just started on a small 18 home development along Highways 17 and 41 called The Enclave at Gregorie Ferry.  These 3, 4, and 5 bedroom single family homes start from $245,490.  
Located on Six Mile Road between Highway 17 and Rifle Range Road, D.R. Horton is building Sweetgrass Village.  Homes feature 3-7 Bedrooms ranging from 2354 to 4200+ square feet and starting in the $400’s.
