Directing The Future Of West Ashley

The Charleston City Council is looking into ways of improving life for residents West of the Ashley.  The improvements in Mt. Pleasant and N. Charleston have hit home with Councilmen serving West Ashley.  Infrastructure improvements such as new parks and traffic softening are being looked into to help attract more businesses.  The growth in businesses can only help improve the lifestyle for those in the area and in turn improve the value of their homes.

West Ashley has seen a bump in home sales during 2013.  Through June 2013 there has been a 37% increase in home sales over the same period in 2012.  Homes with higher value have experienced an even higher increase in activity.  Homes valued over $250,000 have seen a 57% increase in the number of homes sold in 2013 versus 2012.  Sales of homes valued over $400,000 have seen a 50% jump.
From the trendy Avondale area to Citadel Mall and other pockets of retail development West Ashley like so many areas of Charleston is a great place to look for your next home.  The improvements that the city is trying to make will be sure to enhance the quality of life.  Home buyers will continue to be attracted to the area for its location and the value of the homes in the area.
